Our difference
We believe effective therapy begins with an authentic relationship. Our Clinical Psychologists pair gold-standard research with warmth, presence and a deep respect for your individual story.
Why us
And why it is rare that every MindTree practitioner is qualified to this level.
Alongside our Clinical Psychologists, our team also includes an endorsed Sport and Exercise Psychologist supporting performance and wellbeing.
A Clinical Psychologist is a psychologist who has completed advanced postgraduate training specifically in clinical psychology and mental health. They are endorsed by the Psychology Board of Australia as a specialist in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of psychological conditions - including complex, severe and long-standing difficulties.
Becoming a Clinical Psychologist typically takes at least 6 years of university study, followed by a rigorous registrar program of supervised practice, case review and ongoing professional development. It is one of the most demanding pathways in psychology - which is why only a small percentage of registered psychologists hold this endorsement.
Many practices mix psychologists with different levels of training and endorsement. At MindTree, our practitioners are qualified Clinical Psychologists. That means you can trust that the person sitting with you has completed the specialist training, supervision and professional standards required for this advanced scope of practice.
Clinical Psychologists are trained to use evidence-based therapies to treat a wide range of conditions, from everyday stress and anxiety to complex trauma, mood disorders and personality difficulties. This specialist training allows us to offer deeper assessment, more precise treatment planning, and the highest standard of psychological care.
